An enchanting Georgian sterling silver and gilt vinaigrette pendant which was assayed at Birmingham in 1838. The vermeil interior is hallmarked on every surface. The hinge and catches are in good order and work exactly as they should. The vinaigrette has a hanging ring and so it can be worn as a pendant. This piece is in good condition with signs of use commensurate with its age. Measures 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch. The sterling silver necklace measures eighteen inches and has patina to match the antique vinaigrette. The vinaigrette and necklace are presented in a velvet clad antique jewellery case.
