Gustav Becker Antique Clocks

Gustav Eduard Becker - German clockmaker and founder of the brand Gustav Becker.

Becker learned clockmaking in Silesia and opened his own clock factory in Vienna. After receiving large orders from the Silesian Telegraphy Centre and the British Royal Mail he went on to make clock cases for train stations.

In the 1860s he began to make the Classical Gustav Becker clocks. After competition from other clock makers in the 1880s he returned to making more simple designs.
