Early 20th.c. longcase clock by the celebrated German brand Gustav Becker of Frieburg in Silesia (now the Polish town of Swiebodzice) c.1930. Mahogany case with carved cornice over a long door with convex dial glass and bevelled glass panel, all raised on a carved feet. Eight day Becker works striking the hours, plus Westminster or Whittington chimes at the quarter and hour. Alternatively the antique clock can be run silent. Silvered dial with Roman numerals, original brass weights and pendulum. Stamped with the Becket anchor mark and serial number on the rear of the works. Excellent condition sold with a 12 month guarantee.
