Silver Matchbox Cover, 1937
This silver small matchbox cover features an engine turned design front and back. The sides are open leaving access to the matchbox strikes.
The matchbox cover is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1937. We believe the maker was Turner & Simpson Ltd.
All marks are quite worn, but mostly readable.
Turner & Simpson worked out of Legge Lane, Birmingham.
The matchbox cover measures 4.4 cm (1.7") by 2.9 cm (1.1") by 1.5 cm (.6"). It weighs 16g.
All measurements are approximate.
The matchbox cover is in good condition with only a few stubborn tarnish spots.
