Lovely pair of heavy Georgian provincial silver stuffing/basting spoons in the King's hourglass and thread pattern with scallop shell terminals to the handle and heel. A small hourglass device near the bottom of the waisted lobed terminal. Hallmarked for Exeter 1817 and maker Simon Levy.

They measure 33cm (13") long and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide and weigh a substantial 406g/13.1ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage and light and appropriate surface wear including a little rubbing to the hourglass devices and leaves at the edge of the terminals. Hallmarks are clear. Both are engraved with an attractive rampant lion crest. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
