George II Shell Back Silver Mote Spoon c.1730


Pretty George II silver shell back mote spoon, c.1730, with simple pierced detail of scrolls to the bowl and the handle terminating in a simple point. Marked to the handle with maker's initials but obscured.
It measures 5 1/8" (13cm) long and 7/8" wide. It weighs 8g/0.3ozt. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration and light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
