A high quality William IV copper coal scuttle, the swing handle attached with finely cast roundels and decorative ivy leaf motif. This unusual boat shaped scuttle with rolled rim stands on a graduated flared base, is well proportioned and offers generous capacity. The condition is excellent, the inside and base are sturdy and the coal scuttle stands evenly and firmly on its base.
An outstanding example of early 19th Century workmanship, this superb coal scuttle with its graceful and elegant lines is ready to place in any interior, traditional or modern.
