An attractive silver sugar / spice caster styled in the Georgian manner with a reverse pear shape to the lower half with spiral fluting and similar decoration around the foot. Pretty piercings to the cover and stepped baluster knop. Hallmarked for London 1890, original makers mark seemingly GG or GC overstruck by that of Edwin Charles Purdie.

It measures 16cm (6 1/4") high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide and it weighs 141g / 4.5ozt.

In very good condition with only minor signs of age and use, no holes, splits or repairs. The maker's mark on the body is rubbed, the others are fine. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
