This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror. A fully hallmarked sterling silver powder compact made Cohen & Charles which was assayed at Birmingham in 1946. Both the lid & base have attractive engine turned designs made up of tiny diamond shapes. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. It has a couple of hard to see age spots. The whole vanity was coated at the point of manufacture with a coat of lacquer which means it will never tarnish / need to be cleaned.
A delightful gift for someone special.This solid silver compact mirror measures 8 cm & weighs 110 grams.
