This is a rare and special find! - Beautiful and in the best of condition, this fabulous Solid Silver, Art Deco butterfly wing compact pill, patch or snuff box is adorable - it depicts a lady to the front, admiring herself in a mirror, reverse painted to the morpho blue wing set beneath a glass top. The oval box is in gorgeous condition, well made it is fully gilded to the interior and both top and bottom are well hallmarked for Birmingham 1923 - measuring c. 1.5 (3.7cm) long, all clasps and hinges are in good order - very nice, often attributed to Thomas Mott or Shipton, this is hallmarked for maker O.Bs of Birmingham - I doubt this little beauty has seen the light of day for many years!
