A late 19th to early 20th century Japanese Meiji period bronze Mandarin duck okimono.

The duck is modelled in a sitting position showing the detail of the feathers folded and underneath, the feet in a natural position.

The bronze is in very good condition but has no maker's marks. (Circa 1900)
