J & W Deakin Chester 1901 Glug Glug Decanter


A good glug glug decanter with sterling silver collar and shoulders featuring birds, putti, scrolls and flower garlands.
Clearly marked for Chester 1901 but the makers mark for James and William Deakin is rubbed.
There are no chips or cracks to the glass which is clean but there is a slight cloudy quality at the very bottom which is detectable in very bright light. This is mentioned for accuracy and can be expected with the age of the decanter. The stopper is original with no chips or nicks to the glass the silver is in good order with some wear to the top which has been photographed.
