Goldsmiths Silver Quaich With Roundels 1914
We have for sale a very hard to find and rather lovely Goldsmiths and Silversmith silver quaich with ceramic roundels circa 1914.
This very attractive arts and crafts circular silver footed quaich has a body that extends to two thick handles each decorated with a rectilinear engraved design around a single oval turquoise roundel. The bowl carries full hallmarks for London 1914 along with the makers marks for Goldsmiths and Silversmiths. The base also carries the Goldsmith and Silversmiths impressed mark including the company address in Regent street, London.
The quaich is 6.75 inches (17.1cm) wide from handle to handle, the bowl is 4 inches (10.2cm) in diameter and is 2.12 inches (5.4cm) high. The quaich is in a very good to excellent condition with only minimal surface wear other than a very slight rubbing to the hallmarks and makers marks. This is a piece that has spent it's life in a cabinet.
