Edwardian Silver Arts & Crafts Vanity Table Pot
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this stylish arts and crafts hammered, heavy gauge dressing table box. This pot has an alluring curved, rounded feminine shape embellished with a gilt interior and a vacant round cartouche to the lid. This a stand out piece that will look gorgeous in your home, gracing you interior with class, style and sophistication.
Brief history:
The firm of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths was established in 1880 by William Gibson & John Lawrence Langham at No 112 Regents Street at premises previously used by John Joseph Mechi. In 1893 the firm absorbed Goldsmiths Alliance and was renamed Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, it was amalgamated with Garrard & Co in 1952.
