Dutch Silver Box with Inserted Georgian Coin
This is an unusual Dutch Silver Box with an inserted George I rose and plume shilling dated 1720.
The silver box weighs 63g and measures 66mm x 50mm x 18mm.
Made by Silversmith SH and Hallmarked in the Maastricht Assay Office in 1870. The box has the Minerva head and Lion Passant (see images) confirming 833/1000 grade.
The box is in good condition with expected wear.
