Charles Edwards Arts & Crafts Silver Coffee Pot
We have for sale a very heavy WW1 period Charles Edwards silver arts and crafts coffee or hot water pot.
This weighty silver coffee pot has a very attractive planished finish combined with a geometric and almost art deco raised design reminiscent of a city skyline. The pot is completed by a lovely ebony handle and carries full English hallmarks for London 1917 along with the small Charles Edwards makers mark.
The coffee pot is is 6.5 inches (16.5cm) high, 7.5 inches (19cm) wide from handle tip to spout. The coffee pot weighs an impressive 680g (approximately 22 Troy Ounces) and is in an excellent condition other the light surface wear one would expect from a well cared for piece of silver dating from this period. However, the makers mark although quite easily legible does show some wear.
