3 x Edwardian Silver Table Spoons, Sheffield, 1904
This is a high quality set of 3 Edwardian Sterling Silver Table Spoons in the ever-popular Fiddle Pattern. The Table Spoons were made in Sheffield by well-known silversmiths James Deakin & Sons. They are in a heavy gauge of silver and date to the very early years of the 20th Century in 1904. There is an initial I or J in a very stylish script elegantly engraved at the top of each stem. The hallmarks on the back of the stems are well struck and clear to read.
The 3 Table Spoons are in very good condition with no dings or dents and only minimal wear and tear. They've clearly been well looked after for the last 115 years! With their classic Fiddle Pattern design they are entirely suitable for use at the dining table today. Please make sure to view all the photos.
The spoons are each 21.2cm long and the set of 3 weighs a very substantial 236.3g of solid sterling silver.
The hallmarks are the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the crown for Sheffield, the gothic letter m for 1904 and the JD over WD for John Deakin & William F Deakin of James Deakin & Sons.
Shipping in the UK is £9 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post, which includes insurance for the value of the spoons.
