Rockingham Primrose Leaf Moulded Cup & Saucer Rockingham Porcelain Primrose Leaf Pattern Rococo teaware
We have for sale a very hard to find example of a Rococo Rockingham Primrose Leaf pattern cup and saucer circa 1826-1830.

This rather rare Rockingham Primrose Leaf pattern (pattern No 655) cup and saucer consist of a body decorated with primrose leaf moulding extending to a lovely twisted crossover stem handle. The cup and saucer is minimally decorate with gold bands to the saucer and cup along with gilt highlights to the handles, which would have allowed users to admire the fineness of the pure white moulding. The cup and saucer are not marked to the base but the pattern is documented in 'The illustrated Guide to Rockingham Pottery and Porcelain' by D.G. Rice, 1971, page 46 and plate 97.

The cup is 3.5 inches (8.9cm) high, and the saucer is 6.25 inches (15.9cm) in diameter, both are in a very good antique condition, however, there is some loss to the gilding in places.
