Ridgway Porcelain Dessert Plate c1835 Ridgway Porcelain Plate Ridgway Porcelain
We have for sale a charming mid 19th Century John and William Ridgway period display plate dating somewhere between 1830 and 1840.

This very attractive circular display plate consists of an ornate primrose yellow and gilt pierced and moulded rococo border incorporating an attractive leaf motif on a mint green ground around a further inner primrose yellow and gilt border around a central landscape depicting a highland lake scene. The back of the plate carries the pattern number 161 in iron red.

The plate is 9 inches (22.5cm) in diameter and is in an excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and almost no wear to the gilt or decoration. The plate has obviously spent life as a well cared for display piece.
