This highly decorative and fine pair of Japanese Imari ginger jars depict a central outdoor ceremonial scene surrounded by colourful geometric and floral patterned designs. The lids feature gilt painted foo dog finials and each jar has a marking on the base. Both jars measure 15 ¾ in – 40 cm in diameter and 30 in – 76.2 cm in height. These jars are in superb condition with no cracks, chips or restoration, and would make an excellent decorators’ piece for many different rooms.
