Moorcroft Columbine tazza cake stand
Moorcroft "Columbine" tazza / cake stand.
The tazza dates to c1980-1985.

"Columbine" was a design of Walter Moorcroft. He originally drew the design in 1947, but it only made limited appearances until 1980 when he designed a whole new range of this flower.

Tazza/cake stands are made by attaching a pedestal base to a "normal" plate. On this example the plate was signed with the Moorcroft signature before the stand was applied, so can be seen poking out under the stand. The stand element carries no further markings.

The top plate measures approximately 22 cm (8.5") in diameter. The tazza stands 12 cm (4.75") high.

The tazza is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. No crazing is noted to the plate element, but there is some to the pedestal stand.
It does not have a box.

Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
