Ray Finch (1914 - 2012) for Winchcombe Pottery
An outstanding stoneware charger of exhibition quality.
A very substantial piece, expertly thrown from stoneware and covered in a dark, lustrous, high gloss glaze which contrasts beautifully with a classic swept and wiped design, as shown. Highlighted with pink freckling it is stunning piece for which Ray Finch became famed / celebrated.
Impressed with the potter's personal seal, as shown. Dating to the early 1990's.
A beauty!......and a first rate addition to any Winchcombe or Studio Pottery collection.
