French Wine Basket For Wine Bottles & Glasses The Basket Dates to The Middle to Late 20 th c As Far As I Can tell.
French Vinyard Wine Basket The size is 19 Inches High By 18 1/4 Inches Across.
Basket I think Is for Taking Into The Vineyard fields at Grape harvest time, the basket is quite unusual all woven from cane with a large hoop handle the basket having a outer divided raised gallery for glasses or for Holding more bottles than the centre section holds.
The centre section can hold or store 4 bottles & the divided outer Gallery sections can hold / store 12 wine glasses or the basket can hold 16 bottles in all without wine glasses .
The basket has a nice round shape which is raised up & outwards from its woven base to form a circular gallery .
The condition is excellent very well made possibly Breton or from Normandy areas of France .
Ideal for displaying in a kitchen or dinning room or for using for parties or a wine bar.
This Lovely Piece of wine related kitchenalia would be Ideal As A Christmas Gift For The Lover oF Wine For The Festive Season .
