Victorian Oak Pedestal Desk, 4ft wide


A nice little Victorian golden quarter-sawn oak pedestal desk. The moulded rectangular top inset with a black leatherette writing surface and crossbanded in quarter-sawn oak. With three frieze drawers and a further free drawers to each pedestal, all drawers with their original locks and turned knob handles. Each pedestal with a plinth base concealing two castors for easy movement around the room. This desk has been polished to the reverse so can be used as a freestanding if required.
A nice warm colour displaying attractive quarter-sawn grain, in solid condition, lot of character marks, some veneer losses including across the top of the left pedestal drawer and around the writing surface, scuffs and scratches (darkened) and marks to writing surface. We can get a quote for fitting a new leather in colour of choice. There is no key and one keyhole liner is missing.
