19th Century Mahogany Writing Table
fine quality 19th century mahogany writing table, crafted with elegance and practicality in mind. The rectangular top features a raised gallery, ideal for keeping papers or accessories neatly in place. Below, a central drawer is flanked by two banks of three drawers, offering excellent storage for stationery and personal items. Each drawer retains its turned wooden knob and brass escutcheon.
The desk is supported on turned legs, set on original brass castors for ease of movement. The rich mahogany displays a warm, polished patina that enhances its timeless appeal.
While designed as a writing table, its proportions and arrangement of drawers also lend it well for use as a dressing table. A versatile and beautifully made piece, perfect for an office, study, or bedroom setting.
