This exquisite 19th-century French writing desk, or bureau de dame, showcases the elegance and craftsmanship of the Louis XV style. The desk features a finely figured burr walnut veneer with delicate floral marquetry inlay, accentuated by ornate gilt-bronze mounts and escutcheons.
The shaped top is surmounted by a superstructure fitted with four small drawers and letter racks, framed with pierced brass galleries.
