York Provincial Silver Teaspoon, 1830
This York assayed fiddle pattern teaspoon was made by James Barber, Gearge Cattle & William North. The spoon's finial has been monogrammed.

The spoon carries the hallmarks for James George and William, the lion rampant for sterling silver, the William IV head duty mark and the date mark for 1830.
There is no town assay mark, but this is not unusual for the York assay office who would only mark pieces "of importance" or "of significance".

The spoon is in reasonable condition. There is the normal age related surface scratching, and a few very minor dinks to the bowl.

The spoon measures 14.2 cm (5.6") long, and weighs 20g.
All measurements are approximate.

Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
