This is a lovely sterling silver Victorian sewing kit and case. The scissors are in good condition and are hallmarked 1898 Birmingham. The thimble is in good condition and is hallmarked 1901 Birmingham. The case is covered in a thin black leather. There is area near the hinge where the leather has come away. There is a brass latch that opens and closes the case. The lining on the inside of the lid is a blue/ purple silk.
