1885 Victorian Hand Carved and Painted Maori Chief Plate New Zealand Timber. A beautiful late Victorian New Zealand Maori Chief painted on native wood and carved/poker worked decoration. Fully inscribed in carving on reverse, also visible to the naked eye on reverse reads "Le Den" 85. The plate measures 28 cm in circumference & 1.9 cm deep.
