A very fine quality heavy SOLID SILVER STANDISH dating to 1902, manufactured by the renowned Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company of Regents Street London.

VERY heavy solid silver base on 4 feet with integral inkwell holder and pen tray. Original cut glass ink bottle with solid silver top.

Fully hallmarked on underside of tray, on inkwell holder and on ink bottle top, for Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company and date letter 'g' for 1902.

In excellent condition with no dings or damage and only extremely light surface marks commensurate with age and use.

An exceptional quality item in a an unusually heavy gauge of silver. Weight of tray only, is c. 358gm (c. 12.63 Ounces). There is additional silver weight in the ink bottle top which cannot be weighed.

Tray ~ 182mm x 142mm.Ink bottle ~ 48mm x 48mm x 57mm.
