Stockton Indenture -1775 Indenture  Hand written Seals
Hand Written Indenture on Hand Made Watermarked Paper regarding the sale and purchase of 'A Church Pew'. Mr Peter Richardson of Sunderland near the Sea in the County of Durham, Custom House Officer, who sold to Mr John Allison,a Merchant of Stockton, a Pew/Seat in the North Gallery of Stockton Church, for the consideration of Six Pounds and Six Shillings.
The Indenture has a very nice Nine Penny Paper Duty Franking, plus Embossed Duty Stamp of One Shilling and Six Pence. Has a nice red seal of Mr Richardson and is beautiflly written with good clear signatures.
