A very good Set of Six, Fiddle & Thread Pattern, early Victorian English Silver Tablespoons made by Chawner & Co (George William Adams)of London and dating from c1846.
The spoons are hallmarked with the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head (Queen Victoria) duty mark, the maker's mark "GA" for Chawner & Co (George William Adams), the Leopard's Head london town mark and the date letter (Four spoons "L" 1846/47and two "N" 1848/49).
The spoons have a nice crest to the terminal.
