An excellent example of the work of Edward Smith. This early Victorian silver vinaigrette measures 3cm x 2cm with hatched decoration. The cover is engraved 'Princess'. The interior silver gilt grille has attractive foliate decoration. The hinges are sound and close firmly. Clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1844 are present inside both the cover and the base.
