Of heavy tapering form with its plain ring handle, this silver meat skewer was made in Newcastle-upon-Tyne by well known silversmith Ann Robertson. The hallmark, which is slightly worn but legible, dates it for Newcastle 1809. The front of the skewer bears a monogram of the letter 'K'. It measures 32.3cm in length and weighs 3.9oz. It is in excellent condition. Robertson was active from 1800-1811 during which period she ran her deceased husband's business, holding it in trust for her nephew until he became of age. She retired in 1811. Payment - We are happy to accept payment by Bank Transfer/International Transfer.
