This is a fantastic example of a top quality piece of dutch novelty silver. It is a silver hinged snuff/ pill box which is in the shape of miniature fireplace bellows. This item is of the top quality, as expected of a piece of dutch silver. I reckon it dates to around the start of the 19th century. It is very finely made with a different scene on each side. One showing flowers and the other showing a woman sitting on bench with church in the background, very typically dutch! It measures roughly 2. 5" long by 1" wide by 0. 5" high. Very good quality piece with a fantastic design. I do believe it is a very rare novelty piece, as I can only see one other similar online, that has sold.
