Pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Ladles Aberdeen
A nice pair of Georgian Scottish Provincial Silver Sauce Ladles made in Aberdeen by James Erskine and dating from c1795.
James Erskine is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Aberdeen c1792 to 1818.
They are marked with the the maker's Aberdeen marks, the letter "E" alongside the "three turrets".
There are some marks on the handle, possibly evidence of initial erasures.
A nice, rare pair of Scottish Silver Ladles.
