Description:
Here is a good quality vintage English Georgian Regency style cheval mirror, constructed of solid mahogany during the mid-20th century, circa 1950, in excellent condition. Ideal for use as a dressing mirror or bedroom mirror. Incorporating a long elegant oval mirror in a moulded mahogany frame, the mirror can be adjusted to suit your preferred viewing angle. The back of the mirror retains its original backboard. The Georgian Regency style cheval mirror retains the original glass, which is in very good condition, showing some minor old use marks. Brass metal brackets secure the mirror fame to the tapered side supports. The tapered side supports are decorated with turned finials at the top of the supports. The vertical supports raise up from a sturdy base, which are united by an elegant shaped stretcher. The base is raised on splayed bar shaped legs.
The Georgian Regency style cheval mirror boasts a rich mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a lovely colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
The item would look superb in several rooms from the hallway to the bedroom. The mirror would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

This cheval mirror is in excellent working condition. Nominal old use marks the leading edges of the mahogany frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The mahogany frame has been cleaned and French polished in our workshop to a professional standard. The mirror is original, but in good condition for its age, with some old use marks, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The back of the dressing mirror retains its original backboard. The mahogany frame of the cheval mirror is in good condition with no damage and it is solid in joint. This bedroom mirror is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to be used.

Condition This is a fine quality antique English Victorian window seat, constructed of solid mahogany, with a fabulous rich colour, circa 1850, in good original condition. This mahogany bench boasts a single plank solid mahogany seat, which is a sign of quality and retains the original scroll ends. As the seat is a single plank of mahogany, it has been susceptible to shrinkage and movement. The seat has been secured underneath with blocks to ensure the top is now solid in joint. Nominal old use marks to the top of the seat (see photos) and leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The bench has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. The Victorian window seat is well constructed, solid in joint (it does not wobble) and is ready to use.
