Large English Silver Wine Taster With Tudor Coin
A good quality large silver wine taster with an attractively arranged pattern of circular and linear indentations to aid the tasting of different wines. Inset with an Elizabethan silver sixpence and finished with an oval thumb rest over a looped handle. Hallmarked for London 1912, makers D & J (Daniel & John) Welby Ltd.
It measures 9.3cm (3 11/16") wide (12.2cm (4 3/4") including the handle) and 2.2cm (7/8") high. It weighs 101g / 3.2 troy ounces.
In very good condition with no damage or repair. The rim is very fractionally distorted and the coin is pretty worn on the inside with only the top of the crown and lower edge of the robes and outer wording obvious. The other side is much clearer with some rubbing to the edge but the date isn't visible. Only minor handling wear to the body. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
