A Georgian mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and original brass finial. Fine marquetry inlays to the case and banding to the edges. A bone set knob below the dial. Well silvered engraved thermometer and main dial.

Thomas Foster of Tiverton is listed in Ponsfords 'Devon Clockmakers' book as working from 1823-1856. This example dates to circa 1830.
