George III Period Silver Pepper Caster 1766
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this superb quality early George III period silver pepper or spice caster.
This superior quality spice caster has a inverted baluster body which has a plain main body with two gadrooned borders and sits on a raised foot, the lid has hand pierced holes and has a hand engraved diamond design, the lid is topped with a wrythen finial.
The caster has a period hand engraved monogram.
A highly displayable and attractive example which would make a fine gift or addition to any quality silverware collection.

Condition Report:
In overall good condition, a few minor dents plus a crease just above the foot, the lid is a little loose and is unmarked, however this is not uncommon, age related scratches and tarnish marks, some of which are heavy. Otherwise, a lovely preentable example ideal for use or display in your cabinet or dining room table.
