An exceptional antique jewellery box and a large size of it's type with a lid diameter measuring 4 1/8".

The English sterling silver box stands on four original feet and the glorious powder pink enamel is framed by a decorative beaded border. The bright and shiny patina showcases the exquisite engine turned decoration below.

The lid fits well and the hinge in perfect working order. Once opened the interior of the lid is lavishly gilded. The box is lucky enough to retain the original champagne coloured silk lining, in excellent clean condition.

The silver is fully hallmarked for London 1919. A very fine specimen in excellent condition. 4 1/8" in diameter x 2 1/4" tall.
