This is a lovely Victorian sampler by Margaret Baxter dated 1852. The sampler has the initials PB CS to the central panel, which are likely to be the initials of her parents.The sampler has beautiful detail with vases of flowers and trees and has delightful floral embroidered borders. This has the alphabet to the upper section and centrally the phrase " Remember the creator in the days of thy youth "
This is in super condition for its age and is in its original rosewood frame which measures 60 cms by 62 cms.
