A Late 18th/early 19th Century Apprentice Bureau
A late 18th century/early 19th century mini/apprentice bureau. A rustic piece mahogany with pine drawer liners. Two small and one big drawer that opens, with working key. Top slope is dummy and doesn't open. Mother of pearl escutcheons, inlay and stringing to drawers and to the side of the bureau. A few small bumps over the years but nothing major. It would make a great Christmas present as a jewellery box.
