Alsterfors

Alsterfors - Scandinavian glass / Swedish glass.

The company was started by J A Gottwald who started making making glass in what used to be an old iron foundry in the 1880s.

Alsterfors became members of the association of Swedish crystal manufacturers in 1903. The factory closed in 1980.

Alsterfors glass is usually unsigned but may have a sticker attached. Signed pieces could be signed by designers including Ingrid Atterberg, Fabian Lundkvist, P.O Strom and Edvin ollers.
