Vintage Silver Plated Crossed Muskets Toast Rack
Here we have a very distinctive American Silver Plated 6 Slice Toast Rack featuring a design of crossed muskets. The toast rack is of a good size and broadly rectangular with a round finger ring handle.
The toast rack is made by the Crescent Silverware Manufacturing Company Inc in Port Jervis, NY, USA. The company was founded in 1922, moved to Port Jervis in 1939 and was finally bought out in 1977. They produced variations on this crossed muskets toast rack design at different times in the company's history and we believe this particular toast rack was produced in the 1950s or early 1960s.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents and no plate loss. It stands securely on its four bun feet with no rocking and the finger ring handle is nice and securely attached. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The toast rack is 11.4cm / 4.5" long, 8.2cm / 3.25" wide and 11.4cm / 4.5" high. It weighs 224.8g / 7.93oz.
The marks on the underside of the central bar are somewhat rubbed away but still clear to read. They show the crescent "C" with a lion's head on the left and an eagle's head on the right, which are the trademarks of the Crescent Silverware Manufacturing Company Inc.
Shipping in the UK is £10 by Royal Mail Special Delivery Parcel Post, which includes cover for the value of the toast rack.
Overseas customers please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
