This is a vintage decorative bird plate. A Chinese, display dish with Golden Pheasant motif, dating to the late Art Deco period, circa 1940.

Striking example of Chinese taste, with an appealing decor
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
White ceramic ground hosts a palette of reds, pinks and green hues
Golden pheasant sits upon a branch amongst flowering vines
Rim edge finished with an attractive crimson red band
