Stylish Victorian silver plated spoon warmer shaped as a nautilus shell set on cast rocky base, the lower part of the shell wrapped with seaweed. A shaped hinged lid and pierced fleur de lys thumb rest. Marked to the lid for Roberts & Belk, Sheffield, mark dating for c.1880. Underneath the thumb rest of marked with the model number 1263.

It measures 15.5cm (6 1/8") high, 16.5cm (6 1/2") long and 9.2cm (3 1/8") wide. It weighs 570g. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs. There has been some plate wear to the lid and the sides but still a very handsome and useful piece. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
