How wonderful to find such an amazing suite of five wine bottle holders or coasters, they will make quite a grand impression on any dinner table or buffet.

The set consists of four smaller holders and a larger one standing on three cast pierced or reticulated feet. The four smaller ones all have a turned wooden base covered in a green baize to protect antique furniture.

All five are reticulated or pierced, with Lions heads joined with continuous foliate garlands, there is a little copper showing on some high-spots such as the garlands commensurate with age.

A fine and impressive set in excellent condition dating to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian in era. The four smaller examples measuring 7" in diameter x 5" tall the larger one, 8 1/2" in diameter x 5 3/4" tall.
