Silver Plate Ejector Pickle Fork, c.1910-30
This is a fabulous Early 20th Century Silver Plate Ejector Pickle Fork. The fork has a trident head with three flat barbed tines. Pushing down on the top of the stem moves forwards the bar to eject the pickle you have speared from the prongs.
There is no makers' mark on the fork, so we can't say who the manufacturer was, but there is a registered design number of 570650, which shows that it is British made and that the original design dates to 1910.
Condition is very good, with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss and just the minimal superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. The ejector system is in full working order. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The pickle fork is 18cm / 7ins long and weighs 39.8g / 1.4oz.
