Scottish Biscuit Box - Cranberrry Glass Liner Antique English Scottish %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A most unusual and top quality biscuit box made in silver plate marked EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver. This exquisite box sands on four cast foliate feet and has two handles the front and back are pierced or reticulated with a floral and foliate design with the rich cranberry glass showing through. All the decoration was painstakingly hand chased giving it a top-notch finish.

The lid lifts to reveal the original Victorian hand blown Cranberry removable liner. The underside is where the makers mark can be found for Robert Scott of Glasgow, active at Buchanan Street c. 1890, late Victorian in era.

This box would make a stunning ice bucket.

Excellent condition measuring 7" handle to handle x 6" x 8 1/2" tall to lid finial.
